Prescott Library
The Library and Media Services provides access to information
resources, services, and media equipment for the Prescott campus
community of Embry-Riddle.
The library serves students, faculty, and staff
by providing information resources that support learning and
research activities and the University's unique mission in higher
education.
Materials from Yavapai County libraries and thousands
of libraries around the world are available through document-delivery
services. Knowledgeable staff provide specialized instruction
and research assistance.
Collections
Resources include books, journals, newspapers, government documents,
conference proceedings, technical reports, videotapes, and electronic
research databases.
The media collection consists of non-print materials such
as DVDs, audio tapes, multimedia and over 2,000 videotapes covering
many subjects including aviation, business, humanities and the
sciences.
The Aviation Research Center is a repository for historical
aviation material and is accessible by appointment.
The John Kalusa
Collection of nearly 6,000 hand-carved miniature airplanes
is on permanent display and may be viewed during library hours.
Services
Circulation: Anyone may use the library or media materials
at the library. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students,
faculty and staff members may borrow books by presenting their
ERAU ID card. Yavapai County residents may borrow books but must
register using their Yavapai Library Network Library card.
Reference: The Reference Desk is staffed by librarians
to assist users with their research. Research appointments for
users needing in-depth assistance can be scheduled with a librarian.
Multimedia: The multimedia lab provides sophisticated
equipment and applications for multimedia, audio and video editing
and production.
Computing Resources: The Prescott Library
at Embry-Riddle University is a member of the Yavapai Library
Network (YLN) which consists of multi-type libraries within
Yavapai County. As a member of YLN, the Library at the Prescott
campus shares the library
catalog which provides information on library holdings at
participating libraries.
A multi-use Information Commons provides access
to the Internet, e-mail, and application software.

Staff
The library has 13 full-time employees, 6 professional librarians,
and 7 support staff. Twenty three student assistants are employed
in the library during the academic terms.
Facilities
The library and media services encompasses 16,080 square feet
with a capacity for public seating of 216. Various study accommodations
are offered including individual carrels, group study rooms,
open tables, and leisure seating.
